Have you seen this new Wayne Rooney “commercial” for Nike? It’s actually more of a segment than a 30 seconds advert.
The Man With The Fragile Feet is paid a visit by the Sanchez Boys who seem to be the English version of Jackass. Despite ripping Johhny Knoxville and friends off, it’s still pretty funny seeing guys getting soccer balls kicked at their faces and groins.
Yeah, I’m easily entertained.

Also, a note to ad execs that plan on working with Man United’s new number 10 in the future: Please don’t have Wayne get as close to the camera as he does in this clip. It’s frightening to small children.

In lieu of today’s Gold Cup semi-final between the U.S. and Canada, I thought I’d dust off Clint Dempey’s hip hop debut, “Don’t Tread”, featuring Houston rapper Big Hawk. Dempsey, a.k.a. The Deuce, recorded this for a Nike advertising campaign last year before the World Cup. The musical quality is pretty much on par for athelete/M.C.’s but I give him props for dedicating it to his eldest sister, Jennifer, who died tragically of a brain aneurysm in 1995.
