Last month when Rachel Smith, the reigning Miss USA, was last in Mexico she was unmercifully booed at the Miss Universe pageant. If that wasn’t embarrassing enough, she also fell on her ass when her high heels got caught up in her evening gown. Because beauty queens have to behave themselves these days (thanks a lot Tara Conner) she had to be a little creative in order to avenge her humiliating Mexico City experience.

So who stood up to defend her honor? Yeah, that’s right, the U.S. Men’s soccer team.

See revenge unfold in this behind-the-scenes video from Sunday’s Gold Cup final. It features pep talks, locker room celebrations and the hottest member of Uncle Sam’s Army, Miss Smith, cheering on her country with a few lucky, non-playing American squad members.

I’m not sure if our Miss USA, who happens to have been born in Panama and is fluent in Spanish, knows anything about the world game, but I hope she felt slightly vindicated. Well done, boys!
